Day Forty-one: We go to court

So today is Alex's appearance in Bronx Criminal for DWI #2, again. I had to take a few days off to steel myself for this one. Last time we waited all day for his court appointed lawyer to show up, who then proceeded to piss of the court clerk and the judge. But, he did get a postponement for today.

After sitting through the morning session with no sign of the guy (his name is Mr. Mechanic if you can believe that, maybe he was working on a car!), we break for lunch (2 under the umbrella) and stroll down to see the progress on old YS. It's about 1/3 dismantled and it just made me sad.

Finally after lunch he comes swirling in. So he has a conference with the judge and prosecutor and they decide to wait and see what happens in Westchester (yes, DWI #1), with his lawyer asking for dismissal if the outcome is favorable.

Gotta love justice, it ain't swift and probably is blind.....
